Business Operations and Waterways

June 1, 2025

Navarre Family Watersports relies on its private beach to operate safely and efficiently. We have received complaints from boaters when we’ve asked them to move off our private beach or to avoid anchoring in the path of where our pontoons and jet skis enter and exit. Our beach is where returning guests dock to disembark, and this is crucial not only for their safety but also for the safety of others enjoying the waterways in private watercraft.

It’s important to note that our beach is private; we own the land up to the mean high waterline, which, on most days, extends several feet into the water. Additionally, we lease the water from the state for much of our operations and pay for the rights to use that space.

We are very supportive of our next-door neighbors and have no issue with boaters stopping and anchoring out of our entry and exit path or to the east of our private beach. We love that people enjoy the beauty of our natural resources and the destination that our partners and we have created. We welcome private boaters and invite them to use our steps to visit the restaurant next door.

Our staff is always willing to work with boaters to find a safe location. In the off-season, this is never an issue. However, during a busy Memorial Day weekend, when we have guests everywhere and watercraft constantly entering and exiting our beach, it can be a difficult situation for our team to manage.

Our property is privately owned, so please consider our situation. Would you go to the Destin Harbor and tie off your boat to a bunch of jet ski docks, or would it be acceptable to park in the middle of a boat ramp?
