Understanding Fitness Requirements

August 28, 2024

Due to a recent criticism and review of being out of shape and not being able to participate in our activities we are writing this educational piece.

At Navarre Family Watersports, we offer a range of exciting watersports activities including a ropes course, zipline, waterpark, kayaks, stand-up paddle boards, pontoons, and jet skis. Each of these activities requires varying levels of fitness and skills. As a participant, it’s essential to assess your own abilities before diving in.

Waterpark Adventures

Our waterpark requires core strength, swimming skills, the ability to bounce, and walk approximately 100 feet to enter the park area.
Ropes Course Challenge: The ropes course involves navigating obstacles that require balance, core strength, and the use of arm and leg muscles. Participants must also be comfortable walking up stairs.

Paddle Sports

Stand-up paddle boards and kayaks require paddling skills and the use of core strength and arm muscles to maneuver through the water. Sometimes swimming may be required.
Age is Just a Number: We’ve had participants ranging from children to active 80-year-olds enjoying our ropes course and waterpark. Your fitness level and abilities are unique to you, and our staff respects that diversity.

Engaging in these activities will naturally elevate your heart rate and increase your breathing rate. Factors like wind, currents, and heat can also affect your performance, so it’s crucial to be mindful of these conditions.

Making Informed Decisions

Before deciding to participate, we encourage observing others engaging in the activities to gauge what feels comfortable for you. Your safety and enjoyment are paramount, and we’re here to support you in making the best choices for your experience.

We hope this article helps address any concerns about fitness and abilities for our valued guests. See you soon at Navarre Family Watersports for an unforgettable family adventure!
